Goodbye Sabine

Our dear sweet Sabine died on Saturday.

It seemed like the colder it got, the more difficult it became for her to get around.

Finally she just laid down on the living room floor and didn't get back up.

Mom told her she was a good girl, and then she just went to "sleep".

Old age? A broken heart?

Maybe she just missed her Mom too much.

One thing is certain: we will all miss her very much. She was such a sweet dog.

I told Mom:

I think she will be a deer now.

First Snow of the Season

Ssssshhhh, don't say it too loudly...but I think we might have a white Christmas this year!!!

Mom has been wishing for a white Christmas in Washington for years and years. This year she made plans to go sledding in the mountains on the Saturday after Christmas so that she could have her snow. Secretly, I have been talking to Santa on the phone about getting her some snow for Christmas...I think maybe Mom was a good girl this year after all.

Here is a photo of Sabine and I on the deck. Sabine was not nearly as excited as Avery was about the snow. Avery did some racing laps around the yard.

The forecast is calling for snow and cold temperatures until the New Year!

Santa Train 2008

Saturday we took our annual ride on the Santa Train with Uncle Rhino, Aunt Renee, and Jack and Henry.

So Long Mickey

Beach Day!

Our last stop on the Mickey Boat was Disney's Island - Castaway Cay.

It was our favorite part of the trip. Mom and Dad got me a Nemo bucket and I did lots and lots of digging in the soft white sand.

I got to swin in the ocean and eat ice cream cones with sprinkles. I was in heaven!

I got to spend lots and lots of time with my Nani while we sailed on the Mickey Boat.

We had breakfast with Mickey and our waiter made us all funny hats out of napkins.

I had lots of fun at the pool...that's where you could find me almost all hours of the day.
