Caterpillar

Yesterday at Sandy's we read a book about a caterpillar. Then in the afternoon I told Sandy I wanted to use the markers to make a picture for home.

Here is what I drew:

I told Dad and Mom:

It is a caterpillar... going into it's shell to turn into a butterfly.

Pumpkin Patch

It was a gorgeous day to visit the pumpkin patch!

The sun was shining and the sky was blue and there were lots and lots of pumpkins to choose from.

Addy and Kelly went with us this year. Addy and I had lots of fun looking for worms and slugs.

Birthday Party...

Okay, so first the bad news:
Once again Mom and Dad failed to take any decent photos to document a major life milestone of mine. Uuuugh, will my rookie parents ever learn? They did manage to get some video, which Mom promised to get up on the blog very soon.

Good news:
The party was lots and lots of fun! Turns out even grown-ups like to bounce!

And you should've seen the cupcakes Mom made...oh wait, here are some photos:

Pumpkin Cupcake

Slug Cupcake

Yes, Mom made those pumpkins and those slugs by hand (out of fondant). These photos really don't do a good job of showing how cool they were.

Birthday at Seattle Center

On my birthday we went to see a play at the Children's Theatre. Before the play started, Mom and Dad and I hung out at Seattle Center. It was a beautiful day to be three!

Puyallup Fair 2008

Summer wouldn't be complete without a trip to the fair. I rode lots of rides this time. I even went on a haunted pirate ride with Mom. Here's a photo of Chelsea and I at the petting zoo.

All this fair action is hard work. Good thing we had this wagon to ride in.

Trip To Remlinger Farm With the Warrens

We took another trip to Remlinger Farm. This time the Warrens when with us. I rode the ponies again and fed the goats and sheep. I'm not so sure about goats up close...

Mariners Game

In September I got to go to the Mariners Game with Dad. It was not my first baseball game, but I was so little the last time we went I didn't remember it.

A Visit From Chelsea

Chelsea came to visit with us tonight and we talked and played and had a good dinner. We have been missing her a lot. We haven't seen her in awhile because her mom is really, really sick.

It was so good to see her and give her kisses and hugs and show her all of my latest tricks.

We all love you Chels and we hope your mom can be home very soon.

Weekend Fun

Dad went fishing with Grandpa Dean this weekend so Mom thought it would be fun to go to Remlinger Farm. We had a great time. Mom and I rode on all the rides.

The weather was beautiful.

I got to ride on a pony. I picked the brown pony named: Sugar. He was really nice.

I was most excited about riding on the train. It was smaller than the Santa Train, but it went all around the farm and past some really cool animals like an angus bull and an alpaca. They also had miniature donkeys, which were pretty cool.

Me. Being Cute.

As the terrible twos are winding down, my cuteness is ramping up.

Or maybe its just that the longer my hair gets the cuter I become?
Oh, and by the way...did you know that Obama is going to be my present?
That's right, I said:
PRESENT
-not president-
Mom thinks that is pretty cute too.

Wagon Rides Are Fun

Addy and I had lots of fun riding in the wagon.

Mom and Me

Dad snapped this pic of Mom and me watching the elephant.

Carousel

We had fun riding the carousel at the zoo. Addy had an extra good time - she even rode it twice. Mom tried to convince me to ride on a horse but I prefered this sleigh thing instead.

Another Trip to the Zoo

Today we went to the zoo with Joe, Kelly, and Addison. Mom and Dad finally remembered to take some photos while we were there. We saw all kinds of fun animals.

One of the first places we went was Bug World. Addy and I had to pose in the spider stocks.

Here is the cheesiest grin I could muster up.

On Lunch...

And yet another wonderful example of my conversation skills.

Who knows what I have for lunch on any given day...when the answer is this entertaining.

What Did You Do Today?

This video is a perfect example of what it's like to have a typical conversation with a 2 yr old. Why? Why? Why! Because.

Conversations with Colton

Here is some more video footage of a recent post-dinner conversation with Colton...

Hanging out with My Friend Addy

We spent some time hanging out with Addy last weekend. We went to the farm park and also to the vegetable farm. The berry season is at it's end so we had to stop at Whole Foods on the way home to get some stuff for dinner. Dad let us ride in the car cart together (since two kids do not fit in one cart)--and oh yes.... big AHA! moment for mom, who always wondering why anyone would make these giant car carts to cause arguments between an unsuspecting mother and the 2 year old who is wondering why you can only ride in the car carts when Nani takes you to the store!

The Final Word on Camping

It's a good thing that Nani and Grandma Joy didn't see this from the same angle as Mom, watching from the river bank. I was "all boy" and Mom was convinced that at any moment I would have 4 less teeth and/or a broken arm from slipping off this large rock in the middle of the river.

More Fun Camping

And here's some more fun camping video...
