Helping with the dishes.

Here I am helping Dad unload the dishwasher. I just love to help. The dishwasher is fascinating and anytime I am hanging out with Dad I'm in a good mood.

Auntie Jamie and Uncle Tim will be here to see me in just over one week. I am very excited and I have been practicing lots of smiles and kisses.

Tomorrow Dad turns 31!

Standing and cruising

I am such a happy baby these days.

Mom and Dad took me to Baskin Robbins the other night. It was the first time I have tried ice cream. Mom gave me some of her strawberry cheesecake ice cream and that was the best thing I have ever tasted. I had to give mom a kiss after every bite because I just wanted to keep it coming! Of course Mom and Dad forgot to bring the camera with us, so you won't see any photos of that here. But next time they promise to get a good picture.

I have been doing lots of "cruising". . .that means I am now able to "walk" along the furniture. I love to crawl over top of and pull myself up next to just about anything and everything and then cruise along it until I find something interesting to get into. Of course nothing is more interesting than all of the things I'm not supposed to have.

I laugh at myself often - this makes Mom and Dad laugh too!

I've been practicing this move. . .Bye bye!

Ridin' in the car

Here are some photos of me riding in the car playing with my toys.

Auntie Chels took these photos of me when we were on our way to my first baseball game!

I was in a very good mood that day despite how very hot it was. Mom let me have some sips of her lemonade at the ballpark. She was very impressed with my straw skills.

I still like to chew on everything in sight. . .but who knows when I will get anymore teeth. I still only have two on the bottom, but I practice using them all the time.

My current favorite food is fresh peaches, well they are really only my second favorite food. Cheese is still #1!!

On the GO!

These days I am always on the go. . . I'm crawling everywhere and pulling myself up on everything.

Just try to stop me!

Hanging with Mom and Dad in the Backyard

Here I am with Dad in the backyard.

And here I am with Mom.

First Trip to the Zoo

Here are some pictures from my first trip to the zoo.

I had a really great time, mostly I liked looking at all the trees. It was fun to watch Mom, Dad, and Chelsea feed the parrots. I also liked watching the fish swim around behind the glass. There are lots of things to see at the zoo!

One of the zoo ambassadors said I sounded like a little howler monkey. I kept screeching because I just couldn't contain all of my excitement.

Here I am with Dad.

And here I am with Auntie Chels.

My New Bucket Hat

I have recently decided that not only is it funny when I wear this bucket as a hat, but it is equally funny when Mom or Dad wears it as a hat and it falls off.

I really giggle if they let me pull it off of their heads.

Here I am taking off my bucket hat so that I can really get inside my basket of toys. Dad wanted to get a photo of me doing that, but it didn't work out.

I really like to take all of the toys out of the basket. Sometimes the best toy is at the bottom.

A Visit From Dr. Greg

Dr. Greg, Luz, and Nicholas came for a visit from Miami last week. We had lots of fun and Nicholas was very excited to play with the wah-wah (that's 16-month-old speak for woof-woof).

Eating Cheese and Avocado

I see you over there - taking my picture while I'm trying to eat my dinner.

I was in a really good mood for dinner the other night.

I was eating lots of avocado and cheese. I like to feed myself most of the time now. I think this makes dinner time more fun. I shove as many pieces of cheese into my mouth as I can. . . that's probably why mom won't put more than three pieces on my tray at one time. . .

Nine Months Old!

I am now 9 months old!

These are some photos of me in my pjs on saturday.

I can really crawl now, on my hands and knees with my head up. I can move so much faster this way. I think it is making Mom very nervous.

I am still very interested in walking. I practice by cruising along the couch to find the remote control before Dad does.

My current favorite food is cheese, and I like avocados now too! I have been drinking lots of juice and water from a sippy cup.

Mom and Me on the 4th

Here I am with Mom on the 4th of July.

Crashing Towers and Wooden Spoons

We had lots of fun over the Fourth of July weekend. . .

Mom and Dad built towers out of blocks and I raced back and forth across the livingroom in my psuedo-crawling way so I could "crash" them.
When I stop to look at them, these blocks are pretty cool.
Not as cool as this wooden spoon Mom gave me to play with.

Me and My Shark

I learned this new trick the other day:

I can carry things in my mouth!! I can use my mouth like a hand!! I don't have to eat or chew everything that goes into my mouth. Sometimes I can just use it to carry things. You have no idea how useful this is when your main goal in life is to investigate and pick up everything in sight.

This also allows me to keep both hands free to perfect my crawling skillz.

I am quite proud of this new trick and I practice it whenever I can. My favorite thing to carry in my mouth is this shark finger puppet.

If you are ever wondering what I am doing, you can just imagine me looking similar to this. . .I spend lots of time carrying this thing around in my mouth.

Goofy Faces

Here I am being goofy.

I was in a really good mood so Dad took lots of photos of me today.

Mom is now fairly certain that I am the cutest baby on the west coast.

Dad's coworkers are telling him to enter me in some cute baby contests. . .mom is thinking I need to get some paying work so I can start buying my own toys.

This photo reminds Dad of his buddy Joe Warren. All I know is every time Dad sees this photo he laughs real hard and then says something about Joe and The Ballroom.

I don't know about this Joe guy.

Fourth of July - Photo Shoot

Here are some photos of me on the Fourth of July. Mom thought I should sit still in this chair for photos but I had other ideas. . .

Warm Weather

The temperature has been really warm around here lately. 80 degrees is warm for this time of year in Seattle. I've been spending lots of time with my shirt off.

Less clothes means less weight to carry around, you would be surprised how fast I can make it to the dog food bowl now. . . I'm keeping Mom and Dad on their toes!

Mom says I'm not really crawling yet, but it's really more of an inchworm-like motion of pulling my body along by my arms. I do use my left foot a bit - to push off. . .mostly I use my big toe really, it's quite tricky.

Dad thinks that it's the carpet that is holding me back. . .too much friction.

Really I'm just perfecting my skillz.

Eight Months!

Here are some more photos of me at the ripe old age of 8 months. You can see that I am developing quite the little personality.

I'm Not Listening!

Here I am with my shape sorter toy. I'm not really sure how it works yet, but I know that every time I move it or put something inside of it it makes some kind of strange noise and that's pretty funny!

Eating Food and Looking Cute

Here I am eating food and looking cute!
My very first favorite food was pureed pears. Peas were a close second.
I didn't like bananas or avocados at all. They gave me the shivers and made me gag.

Hat Backwards?

So now they think I should wear my hat backwards? Or did they turn my hat backwards to trick me?

Seriously - the only reason I'm still wearing this hat is because I can't figure out how to get it off of my head.

Come closer . . . I have to tell you something:

Baby Bath Time

This is Nonnie's favorite photo of me.
Dad took it when I was exactly 7 months old.

This is when I really started to have fun in the bath tub.

Now bath time is more "play time" than anything else.
