I Love the Ocean

You can't go to the beach house without spending a bit of time by the ocean. The weather wasn't so sunny this weekend but Mom and Dad and I still managed to climb the rock wall so I could see the waves. I love the sound of the ocean.

Pirate Parade

Aaaargh! I am one cute pirate!

We went to the beach house for the 4th of July. Grandpa, Dad, and Uncle Ryan made Grandpa's boat into a pirate ship for the parade. Here's a photo of me and my cousins in the boat before it became a pirate ship.

And here's Uncle Ryan, Jack, Henry, and our pirate dog Patty. The weather was rainy for the parade, but we all had a really fun time.
The best part about the parade was the float that followed ours was a Schwann's Man. He gave Mom and Aunt Renee some ice cream sandwiches and of course they shared with us.

Oh Those Summer Days

This is Mom's favorite recent photo of me. My hair is getting so long. Summer long - that's what Mom calls it. I have been having so much fun this summer. I've spent the past couple of days hanging out with Nani. We visited Grandma Alice in Vancouver and I got to listen to Uncle Mike play guitar. I am really into guitars lately - well really any kind of music. I have been sharing Mom's iPod with her. She lets me have one of the earbuds and she has the other. Then we argue over which songs to listen to.

I just love my alligator pool. Mom and Dad say it's ghetto but I like it a lot.

I like to crawl around in it and pretend to swim.

I also like to throw my toys into my pool and pretend to go fishing. Here I caught a starfish, but it was too small so I told Dad we should throw it back in so it can grow bigger.

My New Friend Addy

New Uncle Joe and New Aunt Kelly moved back to Seattle from Billings. This has caused much excitement at our house and we are all hoping that they will settle down close and be our neighbors. I like playing with Addy. She is going to be 4 this fall. Here is a photo of Addy and I in my pool. In case you were wondering - I am not drinking the pool water....I'm blowing bubbles in that cup of course!

Strawberry Season

It is officially strawberry season! All of the local berries are red and ripe and in the stores. They taste delicious. Mom says this is the way they used to taste out of her Grandma's garden. I think Mom has been eating strawberries for a whole week straight...and so have I!!!

Cowboy on a Trike

I am really good at riding my tricycle now.
I have been practicing riding in circles.
I can go really fast and I keep getting the feeling that Mom and Dad are waiting for me to tip it over or something.

Squirt Guns and Sunny Days

Lots and lots of hot sunny weather here lately. We have been spending lots of time outside trying to find ways to keep cool. I've been eating lots of Otter Pops and Sponge Bob push-ups.
I think my favorite part about summer so far is the squirt guns! This blue one works especially well for squirting Moms and Dads.
And just in case you were wondering...YES! I still make the ham face if you ask me nicely :)

Hanging Out with Erin

My friend Erin came over last weekend and we hung out in the backyard and played in my alligator pool. It was really hot here!
These are photos of Erin and I scooting down the hill of our backyard towards the deck.

Solstice Parade

We went to the Fremont Solstice Parade again this year. We had beautiful weather and Chelsea let me wear her sunglasses.

Growing Into My Hat

This is my cool Sponge Bob hat that Auntie Heather made for me for Christmas (or was it my birthday?). Anyway, I have been working on growing into it and Mom thought it fit so nicely right now she made Dad take this picture. I wear this hat when I am playing in the tent in my room.

Going to the Park

For Father's Day we went to the park with Grandpa Dean and Grandma Trudie. Uncle Ryan and Aunt Renee and my cousins Jack and Henry came too. We had lots of fun.

My favorite part was the bumpy slide.

I also liked the monkey bars a lot, but I'm not quite big enough yet to really do any tricks.

Of course I had to stop and have a snack. Mom brought fruit leather which is one of my favorites right now.
