Blabber Mouth.

I have turned into the world's biggest blabber mouth. I have such a little attitude too! I have an opinion about just about everything around me and I'm not shy about telling you about it.

Yes, I know this is the dishwasher and I know Mom is telling me it's dangerous...but first I have to figure out how to get down from here.

Yeay! We have Power!

No baby should have to wear three layers of clothes at one time Mom!!

Now I can watch Baby Einstein again!!

Reading with Mom

With no lights in the house, Mom and I had to do a lot of our reading during the day.

Lights Out!

We had a really bad wind storm on Thursday night. The news reports said that the winds were over 70 mph in some places. The lights went out just as Mom was putting me down to sleep. I was kind of spooked without my night light.

When the power still hadn't come on by Friday night, Dad had to get out his head lamp. I showed him how all the cool kids wear headlamps.

Mom says that I actually look like her in this photo...she usually thinks I look like Dad.

This photo is a good example of me looking like Dad.

Meeting Santa

Tonight I met Santa Claus, for the very first time.

Not sure what I think about that guy...but someone should keep an eye on those elves for sure.

Busy Week

We had a very busy week. I practiced walking more and more.

I discovered that it's really fun to play in boxes. Especially when I sit in this box and Mom or Dad pushes me around the room.

Mom says I am turning into a total ham. She might be right.

I had fun checking out the christmas tree. I played with my firetruck and my dump truck a lot. I like to push them around the room and make the "bbbrrrrrrroooom" noise.

I think it's really funny when I poke Mom or Dad in the belly and they giggle.

I like drinking Dad's Jamba Juice too.

A trip to the grocery store is always fun, everyone stops us and says how cute I am.

Beach Boy in His PJs

Here are some cute photos of me in my pjs at the beach this weekend.

Me playing with my car.

Here's my ham face!

Beach Boy

Dad took me outside while Mom was showering and snapped these photos of me playing on Grandpa Dean's float collection.

The sun was really bright.
I left my sunglasses in the car. . .

"Aaaaaaaaah, get me down from here Dad!"

There are lots of apple trees at the beach too.

Playin' at the Beach

We went to the Beach House for Thanksgiving and the long weekend.
We had such a great time.

I played with my cars and trucks. I also played with the cds and dvds. I loved piling them all into my box of toys. I think they were sneaking out of the box while I was sleeping because everytime I woke up they were back in their places, so I would just have to pile them all into the box again.

Things I learned this weekend:
I learned that the wood stove is bad and I should stay away. Everytime I crawled by it, I had to stop, sit and say "ha" (or something like that). I sometimes had to crawl backwards past it. I look pretty silly crawling backwards.

I learned where my head is. Now if you ask me: Colton, where's your head? I can pat it.
(Now I just have to learn how to rub my tummy at the same time? .....Maybe that is part of Papa Charlie's man learning?)

I learned how to make the "aahhhhhh" indian noise from the old cowboy and indian movies. The one where you pat your mouth with your palm while saying: aaaaaawwwwhh. I think I was supposed to learn to find my mouth, but making this noise was so much fun I just couldn't stop!

I practiced doing lots and lots of walking.
Here I am watching my hand wiggle as I'm walking across the living room. I thought this was hilarious!

Awwww so cute!

Sometimes I just have to admit. . .I'm one cute baby!

Busy Boy

I was a busy boy last week.

I took lots of steps.

I also learned to stop at the bottom of the stairs and wait for Mom before I go screaming up them. Well, most of the time I wait. Sometimes I think it's funny to just giggle and race up them so Mom comes running after me. This game is especially funny when Dad plays too.

I also practiced lifting my bigger toys from the floor onto the chairs. This is big business and took lots of coordination. Mom arranged the chair so I had to walk from the chair to Mom and Dad and then back.

I was very interested in my firetruck this week.

Pushing it all over the house - but also lifting it up onto the chair seats.
This took me multiple tries before I mastered it but I finally managed to get it onto the chair seat and once I wanted to do it over .....and over ....and over again.

My walking toys were also a big hit recently.

I really get frustrated when I can't turn the corner or my walking toy gets caught on something and I get stuck.

I'm a Walkin' Walker

I really started walking lots this weekend.

Not only was I doing a lot of walking, I was also doing a lot of blabbing, and some laughing, and some dancing.

I learned how to put this cap on and off of this water bottle. Nani and Grandma Alice taught me how to clap. Every time I got the cap onto the water bottle I would smile and smile and clap my hands. I was a real crowd pleaser.

I was really busy this weekend, lots of climbing. I have been practicing my stair climbing. So far, I've mastered the art that is the backward belly slide in that ever so slightly in control manner that is the essense of being a 1 year old.

Here's a photo of my Nani and my silly cousin Henry.

And here's my cousin Jack and my Papa Charlie.

Sunday Faces

I was full of faces today.

I really-really-really like multigrain cheerios. Every time I pick one up out of my toolbox and put it in my mouth, I say: "MMMmmm"

I can't believe Mom didn't realize they are sweetened. She's never going to buy me these again, I know it.

All I did was EAT all weekend. That's why I was so cranky Saturday morning. I was just hungry.

Eat, eat, eat - chex, yogurt, raspberries, cheerios, cheesestick, raspberries, watermelon, banana, crackers, puffs, peaches, rice, cheesestick, chex, fruit bar, raspberries, blackberries, watermelon, cheerios, chicken, mashed potatos, peas, peaches, eggs, cheese, sausage, chex, banana, raspberries, apple bar, fruit snacks, crackers, dried apple bits, puffs, tropical fruit cup, chicken, blackberries, kung pao beef, fried rice, bbq pork, crab ragoons.

Window Watcher

Looking out of the window is one of my new favorite things to do.

I think it's because I have finally grown tall enough to be able to see out without having to stand on my tippy toes.

There are so many exciting things going on outside. I am especially fascinated when a person walks past with their dog. I also like looking at the leaves on all of the trees blowing in the wind.

Today I took 4 or 5 steps from the window to Mom. I tried two more times after that and fell both times. . .this walking thing is tricky.

Oh, and the remote is another favorite of mine. Although not so new.
